Mandy Paterson
Mandy Paterson

Chef

Hello – my name is Mandy Paterson, and I am Head Chef/Catering Manager at QME Care, based in the Kitchen in Murray/Evanthea House, from where we provide lovely food, cakes and bakes, on a daily basis to all our residents in the care of QME.

I started working in Queens House the week before Christmas in 2018, where I was cook to the 30 residents in the care of Queens House. I was made Head Chef when Queens House expanded and Murray House and Evanthea House opened in September 2019, and the 30 residents became 59, resulting in a brand new kitchen… and a brand new Catering Team.

My hobby has become my job, as I was previously employed by Lothian and Borders Police, and latterly Police Scotland from 1984-2014, as a Police Station Assistant, where I enjoyed being the main point of contact to the general public for 30 years.

I take great pride in providing delicious food, alongside a hard-working team, and I am happy for anyone to contact myself at mandypatterson@qmecare.org with any comments/feedback or suggestions.
It’s very important to me that our residents are afforded the best food we can provide…  after all this is their home.

I am no longer “front of house”, as I was in the Police, but I am more than happy for anyone to meet with me should there be any concerns regarding the catering and food at QME Care. I still enjoy a good blether!!
