QME Care in Kelso, a leading care provider, hosted a poignant Remembrance Day service on Saturday 11th November, bringing together residents, staff, and resident’s family members in a touching tribute to honour the courageous individuals who sacrificed their lives for our freedom. The atmosphere was one of solemn reflections as residents, staff, and resident’s family members gathered to pay their respects.
Poppies, a timeless symbol of remembrance and gratitude, were lovingly laid. Each poppy represented a life lost, a story untold, and a debt that can never be fully repaid.
The air was filled with beautiful music as attendees listened to hymns and patriotic songs which was shortly followed by a moment of silence to honour and remember the servicemen and women who have served and continue to serve our nation. Prayers were offered for their courage and dedication, underscoring the significance of Remembrance Day.
QME Care was joined by an inspiring group of individuals, including adults and cadets from 4 Platoon Kelso and Kelso Air Cadets. Their presence added a special dimension to the event, symbolising the intergenerational unity in acknowledging and appreciating the sacrifices made by those in service.
“We are immensely proud to have hosted this Remembrance Day service, bringing our community together to express our deep gratitude for the brave souls who have given so much for our freedom. The presence of residents, staff, and the support from 4 Platoon Kelso and Kelso Air Cadets made this occasion truly special.” said Steven Bailey, Executive Team Member at QME Care.
As QME Care continues to evolve, it remains committed to making a positive impact on the lives of individuals and communities, fostering a sense of togetherness that transcends traditional healthcare boundaries. The Remembrance Day service served as a powerful reminder of the enduring spirit of gratitude within the community.
