What types of care do you provide?
We provide a range of services including nursing care, dementia care, complex care, younger adult care (18+), palliative care, and respite care. Our care is tailored to each individual, ensuring their needs, preferences, and routines are fully supported.
How do I know if QME Care is the right place?
The best way to decide is to visit us. This gives you the opportunity to see our home, meet our team, and ask any questions. We also carry out a full assessment before admission to ensure we can meet the individual’s needs.
What happens when someone moves in?
We aim to make the transition as smooth as possible. Before moving in, we complete a detailed assessment and create a personalised care plan. On arrival, our team supports the individual to settle in at their own pace, helping them feel comfortable and part of the community.
Can residents bring their own belongings?
Yes, we actively encourage residents to bring personal items such as photographs, small pieces of furniture, and keepsakes. This helps make their room feel familiar and homely.
What are the visiting arrangements?
We welcome visits from family and friends and encourage maintaining strong connections. Visiting is flexible, and we aim to make it as easy as possible for loved ones to spend quality time together.
How is care funded?
Funding can vary depending on individual circumstances. In Scotland, you may be entitled to Free Personal and Nursing Care contributions. Our team can guide you through the process and help you understand what funding may be available to you.
Do you cater for specific dietary requirements?
Yes, our dedicated kitchen team prepares all meals fresh on-site and can cater for a wide range of dietary needs, preferences, and cultural requirements.
What activities are available?
We offer a varied programme of activities designed to support wellbeing, engagement, and social interaction. This includes both indoor and outdoor activities, as well as opportunities to take part in events and group sessions.
Do residents go on outings?
Yes. Our residents have access to their own dedicated minibus and enjoy regular outings, particularly during the warmer months. These trips include visits to local garden centres, scenic drives, community events, and outings for meals and social activities. We aim to ensure residents continue to enjoy meaningful experiences outside of the home, supporting wellbeing, independence, and social connection.
Can you support people living with dementia?
Yes, we provide specialist dementia care within a dedicated, supportive environment. Our team is trained to support individuals with dementia in a way that promotes dignity, understanding, and wellbeing.
Is there parking available?
