QME Care

Our Gardens & Grounds

At QME Care, we believe that access to safe, welcoming outdoor space is an important part of everyday wellbeing. Our gardens and grounds have been thoughtfully designed to provide residents with opportunities to relax, socialise, and enjoy time outdoors in a peaceful and supportive environment.

At the heart of our grounds is a large central garden to the rear of the home, shared by all houses. This space offers a variety of features to suit different preferences and activities, including a wooden gazebo with seating, a dedicated BBQ area, a quiet memorial garden, and raised flower beds. Accessible pathways run throughout the garden, making it easy and safe for residents to move around and enjoy the space. During the warmer months, this area becomes a hub of activity, where residents can take part in outdoor events, social gatherings, and seasonal BBQs.

Surrounding the home, additional pathways allow for gentle walks and quiet moments outdoors. Many of our residents benefit from direct access to these spaces, with most rooms in Queen’s House featuring their own patio areas. All rooms in Murray House and Evanthea House also have private patio access, offering further connection to the gardens and outdoor seating areas. These spaces provide residents with the opportunity to enjoy fresh air and nature from the comfort and privacy of their own room.

Queen’s House also features a central courtyard garden, complete with flower beds and seating, creating a sunny space for residents to relax and spend time with visitors.

For family and friends visiting the home, we offer convenient on-site parking, ensuring easy access for all.

Our gardens and grounds are meticulously maintained to a high standard. Dedicated gardeners care for the lawns, plants, and flower beds, ensuring the outdoor spaces remain vibrant and inviting throughout the year. Alongside this, our maintenance team works hard to ensure the entire site is safe, well-kept, and enjoyable for everyone.

Above all, our outdoor spaces are an extension of our home, providing residents with freedom, fresh air, and meaningful opportunities to connect with nature and those around them.
