Moving Into Care

Making the decision to move into care is a significant step, both for the individual and their loved ones. At QME Care, we understand that this can be an emotional and sometimes uncertain time, which is why we are here to support you every step of the way.

Our aim is to make the transition into care as smooth, reassuring, and positive as possible. From your first enquiry, our team will take the time to listen, answer your questions, and guide you through the process at a pace that feels right for you.

The journey usually begins with an informal conversation, where we can learn more about your needs and talk through the support we provide. We would then invite you to visit our home, giving you the opportunity to see our environment, meet our team, and get a feel for daily life at QME Care.

If you decide that QME Care is the right choice, we will carry out a detailed assessment to understand care needs, preferences, routines, and personal history. This allows us to create a personalised care plan that is tailored to the individual from day one.

We know that moving into a new environment can feel daunting, which is why we encourage residents to bring personal belongings to help make their room feel familiar and homely. Our team is here to support not just the practical aspects of moving in, but also the emotional transition, offering reassurance and a friendly, welcoming presence.

From the moment someone arrives, they are supported to settle in at their own pace. Our team takes time to build relationships, understand what matters most to each individual, and help them feel comfortable and part of the community.

Family involvement is very important to us, and we encourage open communication throughout the process. We are always available to answer questions, provide updates, and offer reassurance.

Moving into care is not just about receiving support – it’s about finding the right place to feel safe, valued, and at home. At QME Care, we are committed to making that transition as positive and supportive as possible.

If you would like to arrange a viewing, or if you need any help or advice, please get in touch with our team by emailing [email protected] or calling 01573 224886. We are here to support you every step of the way.
