QME Care

Dementia Care

At QME Care, we specialise in providing compassionate, person-centred dementia care within a supportive and understanding environment. We recognise that every person’s experience of dementia is unique, which is why our approach is focused on truly getting to know the individual behind the condition.

Our dedicated dementia care service is based within Murray House, a purpose-designed environment created to promote comfort, familiarity, and safety. The layout and design help reduce confusion and anxiety, while supporting independence and freedom of movement.

Our team is specially trained in dementia care and takes the time to understand each resident’s life history, preferences, and routines. This enables us to deliver care that feels familiar and reassuring, helping to maintain a sense of identity and belonging. We use a range of approaches to support communication, reduce distress, and promote positive engagement throughout the day.

Meaningful activities play an important role in our dementia care. From music and reminiscence sessions to crafts and social interaction, we aim to provide opportunities that stimulate cognition, encourage participation, and bring enjoyment. Just as importantly, we recognise the value of quiet moments and calm spaces.

We also work closely with families, recognising the important role they play in supporting their loved ones. Open communication and partnership working ensure that care remains consistent, respectful, and aligned with the individual’s wishes.

Our goal is to create a warm, inclusive community where individuals living with dementia feel safe, understood, and supported to live well every day.

To apply and be added to our waiting list for a private, self-funded placement, please visit our application page. If you are seeking a local authority-funded placement, please speak with your social worker, who can refer you to us through the appropriate referral process.
